Katherine vs. Huckabee
HUCKABEE COMPARES HIMSELF TO CLINTON, NOT REAGAN
Katherine would never compare herself to any Clinton. She loves Ronald Reagan, and she’s sure that he would support her if he was alive.
Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee compared his campaign Monday to that of another former Arkansas governor Bill Clinton, who was hardly a front-runner when he started his ultimately successful run for the White House.

Huckabee Celebrates Death of Ron Reagan. At the June 5, 2007, debate at St. Anselm’s College in New Hampshire, Huckabee stated that the night of the debate was President Ronald Reagan's birthday, when actually it was the anniversary of his death in 2004. HUCKABEE HANDS OUT CANDY AT HEALTH EVENT
Katherine would never eat candy. She stays in shape by horseback-riding, appearing in rodeos, and drinking non-fat Starbucks with pink sugar.
Speaking to a group of municipal employees at the Utah League of Cities and Towns midyear convention at the Dixie Convention Center on Thursday, Huckabee said the unhealthy lifestyle of Americans is impacting the gross national product by about $700 billion a year.
Ireland said the conference was based on the theme of Get Fit - Get Healthy and had been heavily played into the conference criteria.
Unfortunately, no one seemed to notify the exhibitors at the event of the fact that healthy lifestyles were the key to the conference.
Many of the exhibitors handed out candy at the various booths with only one providing nuts as a healthy alternative.

HUCKABEE DOESN’T GET THE FAIR TAX, BUT HE SUPPORTS IT
Katherine has always supported the Fair Tax because she believes the more we tax poor people and the less we tax rich people like her, the better off people like her will be.
The May 15 debate included 10 candidates for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination. It was sponsored by the Fox News Network and took place at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee praised a "fair tax" without noting what it actually would do: impose a stiff retail sales tax on all goods and services sold in the U.S., easing the tax burden on the richest Americans:
Huckabee: If we had a fair tax, it would eliminate not just the alternative minimum tax, personal income tax, corporate tax, it would eliminate all the various taxes that are hidden in our system, and Americans don't realize what they're paying.
… any sales tax also would lower taxes for those upper-income persons who save and invest large portions of income that would be taxed under current law — but not under the "fair tax."
In fact, President Bush's bipartisan Advisory Panel on Tax Reform rejected he idea, saying it would substantially increase taxes for 80 percent of U.S. taxpayers while benefiting those at the top. The panel calculated that a sales tax would have to be set at 34 percent of retail sales prices to bring in the same revenue as the taxes it would replace, meaning that an automobile with a retail price of $10,000 would cost $13,400 including the new sales tax. Furthermore, the panel said, a monthly cash rebate to every American would amount to the largest entitlement program in history, costing approximately $600 billion to $780 billion per year and making most American families dependent on monthly checks from the federal government for a substantial portion of their incomes.
