PARTY WINS GOLD AT POLLIE AWARDS

The Florida Democratic Party won two awards for its aggressive and creative direct mail programs at the 2007 Pollie Awards for Excellence in Communications, a competition in which there were more than 2000 entries this year. In the Bilingual/Multilingual/Foreign Language: Statewide Category, the Party won GOLD for a piece called "The Cost of War." The Party also won a Silver for a piece in support of Charlie Justice's campaign for State Senate. Additionally, Justice's campaign won Silver in the overall Direct Mail for a Democrat category (this includes U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Governor, and all other statewide and legislative races in the country). The pieces were designed by Tallahassee's Democratic direct mail guru Dylan Sumner of the Mack/Crounse Group.
