Karl Rove Brings His Dirty Politics And Scandalous Reputation Into Florida
Karl Rove, President Bush's Hatchet Man, is coming to Charlotte County to spread lies and deceit. Karl Rove should keep his scandals and nasty politics out of Florida!
Karl Rove's Most Recent Scandals:
- Firings of 8 U.S. Attorneys and Destroying Evidence - Karl Rove is being investigated for hiding government e-mails related to the firing of U.S. Attorneys because they weren't prosecuting Democrats. When asked to produce e-mails about his role, 4,000 of them disappeared in Republican National Committee computers. Rove is also dodging calls to testify under oath about his role in the U.S. Attorney firings.
- Making Government Agencies Work on His Democratic Hit List - Karl Rove had his aides hold about 20 briefings in the past two years with officials at 16 government agencies and departments to discuss Republican political strategies, including naming specific Congressional Democrats singled out for defeat and Republicans who were most vulnerable. Agency officials were expected to help Republicans in these races, through federal grants, policy decisions and other means (all on the tax payers' dime).
- Outing CIA Operative Valerie Plame - Karl Rove and Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper discussed the fact that Ambassador Joseph Wilson's wife Valerie Plame worked for the CIA in 2003, but in 2005 Rove denied ever leaking Valeria Plame's name to press. Her name was linked in an attempt by Karl Rove to smear Joe Wilson's name after he disclosed that the White House was spreading false information about arms in Niger.
- Being Investigated Internally by Federal Unit - The Office of Special Counsel is launching a broad investigation into key elements of the White House political operations that for more than six years have been headed by Karl Rove. The question of improper political influence over government decision-making is at the heart of the investigation.
